Wonder how many of the urban hipsters inhabiting Chicago’s Bucktown area (in the north of the city) know that many years ago it was a goat herder’s paradise, open fields stretching as far as the eye could see? Gets the mind going. Picture it: modern day bearded goat-herding hipsters, herding and being hip at the same time. A collision of the unexpected. A bit like this Bucktown.

Designed to be the ultimate daily commuter/carry pack, the Bucktown still does what it’s always done, just now with a little more edge. Two large, ridiculously easy-to-access YKK Water-Repellent VISLON® AquaGuard® zipper compartments handle your day without asking questions. The outer compartment takes care of the small stuff and the big stuff with equal ease, with double pockets and pen organization, all stitched together with military-grade thread and reinforced where it matters. Up front, an additional AquaGuard® zipper pocket gives you quick access without digging.

Now let’s talk about what it’s wearing.

This version steps into something different. Inverted Black Dyneema. It’s so ridiculously expensive we’re pretty sure it arrives on a Brinks truck when we order a roll. Light, insanely strong, and just a little hypnotic with that exposed grid doing its thing on the surface. It’s the kind of material people argue about online. Some don’t get it. The ones who do, really do. It’s built to take abuse, shrug it off, and keep looking like it has a story to tell.

Then you open it.

Buffalo Plaid TexWax™ canvas inside. A complete shift in mood. Warm, rugged, familiar. Like the inside of a well-worn field jacket or something you’d find in a cabin that’s seen a few winters. It’s not just there to look good, it brings structure, durability, and that unmistakable waxed canvas feel that only gets better the more you use it.

A solid steel matte black gun clip is a valet you can trust with your keys. Zip up the outer compartment and move to the back. This main compartment carries serious space, anchored by a fully padded computer section lined with thick closed-cell foam to protect what matters. Built for 17" and 15" laptops and everything else you decide belongs with you. Side pockets handle water bottles, beer, or whatever keeps you going, each finished with a matte black steel D-ring for attaching whatever the hell you want.

New to this one, a rear trolley strap locks the bag onto your luggage handle so it moves with you when you’re moving faster than usual.

The back panel, bottom, and shoulder straps are all padded with that same closed-cell foam comfort that makes heavy loads feel like less of a bad idea. Every piece cut, stitched, and finished in Chicago by a small team that doesn’t know how to do it halfway.
