You don't have to climb Mount Everest to appreciate the new AustriAlpin™ Carabiner PIRUM GI Screwlock.

Big, Bad, Badassery: The PIRUM is especially designed for applications where more space is needed, for example as a central carabiner or when working with ropes with thicker diameters. Thanks to its anatomically formed shape, the carabiner lies naturally in your hand and convinces with an excellent strength rating of 30 kN. With a wide gate clearance, this carabiner reduces the risk of getting your fingers caught while clipping. Special features of the PIRUM GI screwlock are its additional red visual safety band [Gate Red] and a unique identification number [ID].

All AustriAlpin™ Carabiners are milled to achieve the highest degree of precision, strength and consistent quality. Casting (as used by many low cost brands) is a grossly inferior production technique resulting in poor wear, inconsistent strength, and potential fracturing. It's a bold statement about AustriAlpin™ carabiners but there are simply no safer PPE products on the market!
